How long does it take to create a custom wedding dress?
Custom couture gowns typically require 6–10 months from design approval to final fitting.
This timeline allows for proper pattern development, multiple fittings, and refined hand finishing.
Shorter timelines may be discussed on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability and design complexity.

How much does an heirloom wedding dress transformation cost?
Heirloom bridal transformations are custom couture reconstruction services that preserve meaningful elements of a mother’s or grandmother’s gown while reimagining it for a modern bride.
Because every vintage gown is unique in age, fabric condition, lace preservation, and structural design, each transformation is evaluated individually.
During your first fitting and consultation, we carefully review the gown together and provide a clear estimate for the transformation before any work begins.
All reconstruction work is completed in-house at our Birmingham, Alabama atelier, where each gown receives the time, care, and craftsmanship it deserves.
We accept only a limited number of heirloom transformation projects each season to ensure the highest level of quality and attention to detail.
Is NiEl Bridal Atelier by appointment only?
Yes. We operate as a private couture atelier to ensure every bride receives personalized attention and an uninterrupted experience.
Do you work with Alabama brides only?
